Multiple regions have introduced mandatory regulations for photovoltaic distribution and storage, and integrated photovoltaic storage equipment is experiencing market growth

Since 2026, several provinces such as Shandong, Zhejiang, and Fujian have successively updated the management rules for distributed photovoltaic grid connection, clarifying that new photovoltaic projects in areas with saturated power grid loads must be equipped with energy storage systems, and projects without storage systems will be temporarily suspended from grid connection approval. The demand for integrated industrial and commercial photovoltaic storage and charging equipment has been released in a concentrated manner.

Under the guidance of the new policy, traditional single high and low voltage switchgear and transformer equipment can no longer meet the requirements of new energy grid connection. Integrated complete sets of equipment integrating photovoltaic inverters, energy storage converters, and AC/DC charging have become standard for projects. Industry data shows that in the first half of the year, domestic industrial and commercial orders for energy storage box transformers and integrated light storage and charging machines increased by over 62% year-on-year, with municipal parks, manufacturing factories, and high-speed service areas becoming core landing scenarios.

Industry experts say that the accelerated construction of new power systems is forcing electrical manufacturing enterprises to complete product iterations. Enterprises with independent complete set production, EPC construction, and post operation and maintenance full chain service capabilities will significantly gain competitive advantages. At the same time, manufacturers with Level 2 power construction qualifications and full set of high and low voltage equipment certifications are more favored by Party A and the State Grid platform.
